Summary of assistance (through January, 2005)
The director of CCIP, Ms. Albertha Hasten, has an interest in implementing educational workshops on potential effects of water contamination as well as finding funding for several other studies. As a result, TOSC has worked with CCIP seeking and providing information on future grant opportunities.
TOSC is continuing to discuss future activities with CCIP. CCIP brought together various religious leaders to possibly pursue NIH, HUD and EPA faith-based initiatives. TOSC provided information on the various environmental justice faith-based initiatives to the religious leaders, helped make connections with possible grant writers, and had the leaders participate in a grant-writing workshop.
