Brownfield Clearinghouse Main Frame

Introduction to the
Brownfield Clearinghouse

The Technical Assistance to Brownfields Communities (TAB) program of the Hazardous Substance Research Centers/South & Southwest has established this clearinghouse to provide communities, municipalities, universities, schools, and other citizens with information and educational materials concerning the redevelopment of communities adversely impacted by the presence of brownfields.

The TAB program seeks to build a community-integrated research and development program focused on addressing the needs of neighborhoods in the metropolitan Atlanta area and throughout the State of Georgia. A central focus of this program is the restoration of environmentally impaired properties within an overall context of economic redevelopment of a community. TAB attempts to link distinct areas of expertise into a unique, holistic program that facilitates the transfer of university-based technologies to communities through intense involvement with individual community members and groups.
